What are Boards?

Boards are where you collect, curate, collaborate on and manage photo and video assets in one place. Create Boards around project-specific brands. Or simply collect images and videos you find on Getty Images that inspire you. With Boards, you can do the following:

  • Create multiple Boards
  • Share a Board
  • Collaborate with others to comment on and edit Boards
  • Hide or show details and previews of Board assets
  • Drag assets to rearrange on a Board
  • Change the grid layout to reposition assets

I cannot perform any actions on my lightbox like move, copy, rename, delete or print. Why?

Lightboxes are now read only. The photos and videos you previously organized in lightboxes have transitioned to Boards. You can open your lightboxes to view its contents only. To perform any actions such as move, copy, or delete, open Boards to locate the converted lightbox you want. If the name of the lightbox is not listed in the upper-right drop-down menu, then your read only lightbox has not been converted to a Board. To transition a lightbox to a Board, you can manually convert it.

Top of section

Why have some of my lightboxes been converted to Boards while others have not?

Rest assured that all of your lightboxes are still available for you to view right there on the Lightbox Management page. Just sign in and click the arrow next to your name in the upper-right navigation bar, and then select Lightboxes in the drop-down menu. If you edited or modified any asset in a lightbox after January 1, 2013, then your lightboxes have been converted to Boards. Open Boards to view them.

Any lightboxes created before January 1, 2013 or any lightboxes with assets that have never been edited are available for you to manually convert to Boards.

Do links to lightboxes still work?
